In 1750 of Wolves has organised professional theatre in Yaroslavl. He has invited in the troupe of seminarist Narykova who has become later by the well-known actor (or Djakonova) to which Catherine II ordered to be called as more harmonious surname - Dmitrevsky, Yaroslavl barber Shuisky and other actors. Originally performances were given in a factory shed for storage of skin. Wolves has adapted it for representations. The same N.I.Novikov writes all, that the small theatre in Yaroslavl became very soon close, it could not contain all wishing to see performances. Wolves has addressed to the Yaroslavl public with the request to collect money for building of a new building.
Necessary means have soon been collected. ' At a structure of this theatre there was it (Wolves. - A.K.) itself the architect, the painter and the machinist; and when this has been resulted in the termination, the director and the first actor '.
At this theatre Dmitry Rostovskogo's compositions, tragedy of Lomonosov and Sumarokov, and also F.Volkova's satirical plays were executed.
