    you are: Theatres peterburga

In Petersburg there were some virtuosos of singers and musicians. In the middle of XVIII - the beginning of XIX century the wide circulation was received by Russian song and a romance. The song was closer to traditions of folklore, it differed from a romance verse structure, was easier on subjects, style, images, psychologism. Songs could sing in solo execution and chorus. The romance is an is musical-poetic product for a voice, accompanied by music. In Russia a romance named some time vocal product in French. Popular A.N.Verstovskogo, N.A.Titov's romances were considered; A.F.Merzljakova, A.A.Delwig's Russian songs, N. G.Shiganova. The talented executor and the author of romances and songs was landowner P.I.Yushkov Ivan Alekseevich Rupin who has left serfs. He was born in 1792 in Kostroma province, sang in church, then in farmstead choruses. Yushkov has brought it to Petersburg to study at Italian singer Musketti. It was one of the most expensive teachers. The small sickly serf boy tried to please the instructor; Musketti has grown fond of it, has suggested to replace a surname on Rupini. After clearing of a serfdom ' Dzhiovanni Rupini ' has continued the education - took lessons of the theory of music from the composer and conductor T. V.Zhuchkovskogo. For concerts Rupina gathered to many people: Petersburgers liked lingering Russian songs which were executed under guitar accompaniment by this former peasant. In the evenings when in chandeliers the candles were lighted, the selected fans of music gathered at Rupina on apartment. The guitar was adjusted, acquaintances came. Among them: poets Delwig, Feodor Glinka, Pushkin.

    - Ivan Alekseevich, - asked somebody from visitors, - sing ' the Three '. Rupin started to touch strings and a silent voice sang:

    The three daring

    Here rushes

    Lengthways on a path stolbovoj,

And a hand bell, gift of Valdai,

    Rings sadly under an arch!.

Feodor Glinka Rupin's This poem has set to music, and it sing here already more polutorasta years.
